Combining Sentences: Adjectives

You can combine sentences by leaving out repeated words and moving an adjective into one of the sentences. 
Examples:
        We caught a fish. The fish was huge
                We caught a huge fish.
        Lydia took this photograph of a phone booth. The phone booth was old.
                Lydia took this photograph of an old phone booth.

Combining Sentences: Adjectives Practice

Combine each pair of sentences by moving adjectives.

We stepped into the small boat.

I looked up at the clouds. The clouds looked fluffy.
I looked up at the fluffy clouds.

Waves rocked the boat. The waves were gentle.
Gentle waves rocked the boat.

We rowed to an island. The island was rocky.
We rowed to a rocky island.

Fish swam past. They were light blue.
Light blue fish swam past.
